The first one is someone that I have worked with and known for the better part of a decade. Chris has a beautiful family and I think we teamed up well to make some very nice pictures. Our plans to do an outdoor shoot were ruined by the wet stuff that was coming out of the sky, but as we are still in a drought in these parts, we gladly moved the pictures inside and changed gears.

The other friend, Chrysta, needed some headshots and wanted to work on a few looks so I gladly jumped on the opportunity to help her out. This session did manage to make it outside, and even to walk through a bit of water... reminding me that you always need to be careful on the green (moss covered) rocks. Yeah, some wet shoes and near falling was involved. Isn't that what makes this type of thing fun?

New Offerings - cards!

Don't you just love it when something you have been using and liking offers something that you didn't know existed? Well, this happened to me the other day with my fulfillment house. It seems that they have been offering cards for a while now and I just stumbled across it the other day. There is everything from birth announcements to Christmas cards. Just think of the time saved by having me, the photographer, handle the making of your family portrait and transferring your chosen picture onto the card of your choice. No more multiple stops and time wasted going from one place to another to get your holiday mailing taken care of. There is a bit more input needed in something like this, but the final product is most certainly worth it. I hope you agree:

Senior Picture for Allison

Sometimes you get the chance to work with people who do things just a little bit differently. For instance, most people have their senior portraits done in the fall of their senior year of high school. Not this beautiful young lady. She managed to wait until her freshman year at Baylor was starting and then "allow" her mom to get some nice pictures to hang on the wall as the nest gets a bit more empty. At least between trips to Waco to see Allison on the sidelines of the football games cheering the Bears on to victory.

Will

Taking pictures of young children is something that is very fun but can also be a bit challenging. When they are under 3 years old, they typically don't truly understand what is going on with the pictures and getting them to do what you want them to do is tough. That is why I like to go the opposite route. I try to set up a few things that I think will make good pictures, but ultimately it comes down to following them around and hoping that they are having a good time. When everything works out, you can get some very spontaneous pictures with great smiles - quite often you even get things that you never could have set out to do or even thought up.

Case in point here is Mr. Will. Who knew that a one year old liked to read so much?

And by the same token, there is no way I could have asked him for a smile like this. He does a great job as long as I am ready to capture what he is ready to give.

Niki & Jason

A few weeks ago I spent some time with a friend who I grew up with - we actually went to elementary school together and still live within just a few miles of each other. In the interest of providing you with the best value and highest quality prints possible, I am pleased to announce that I have brought in a second photo lab to handle all of your printing needs. The current lab is focused on a value proposition and the new lab is truly a high end lab - and the best part is that it manages to provide many improvements for prices that are the same in many cases and just slightly higher in others. There are even new offerings that you could not get previously.

What this means to you, is that there are now choices. I will work with you to ensure that the appropriate choices are made for your situation. Participating is easy - just go to the appropriate gallery and place your order. Half of the profits from those galleries will be donated to Good Shepherd to further fund the great work that they do.

Keep in mind that you are not limited to regular prints. We offer great gift ideas. You can turn those pictures into puzzles or have them applied to mugs or tote bags as well as many other options. These also qualify for the fundraising efforts.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. As always, it was a great event and supports a worthy cause in Blue Santa. For the first time this year we participated in the parade instead of simply being spectators. Zander, as a member of Cheer Station, held the banner at the beginning of their section and I walked with the group taking pictures. These photographs are online for perusal and purchase in this gallery with additional photographs of the rest of the parade coming later.

I want to make sure that all parents and participants have easy access to these photos, so please note the special download price for small files for this gallery only.

Good Shepherd portraits uploaded

Parents and Grandparents of Good Shepherd students, I have good news. I have some very good pictures of the children, but you will note that they are not posted yet. I have already received a phone call about when they will be online and ready for viewing and purchasing. Please understand that I took nearly 500 photographs today and will likely do that again tomorrow. I am beginning the sorting process and will have them online as soon as possible, but I expect that it will be next week before they are all online.

The minute the first batch is posted, I will create an entry here with a link to the gallery.
